Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring adhere to standard operating procedures, company policies, and industry regulations
Support Event Manager with appointments and events
Provide administrative for Event Manager
Manage the Banquet Hall and Theater to include but not limited to handling walk-in clients, creating table escapes, working with approved vendors monthly, keeping the room clean and orderly as well as stocked with supplies.
Working with promoters, producer and other team
Interacting with clients to coordinate event details such as catering or entertainment
Scheduling and coordinating the staff for an event using a computerized database
Monitoring the event to ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently
Manage client/vendor relationships, responding to client inquiries in timely manner, as well as organizing arrangements as they relate to social catering events (i.e., set-up and execution of catering meetings, meals, and special events).
Conduct property tours to promote facilities and services. Responsible for answering incoming calls, typing daily event sheets and banquet event orders.
Follow up on all bookings and adhere to internal protocol for handling contracts, guarantees, room lists, resumes, etc.

Requirements
Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment
Previous event management experience preferred
Awareness of safety concerns and risk management, available through training
Ability to provide positive customer service
Awareness of, and appreciation for, individual uniqueness and diversity
Commitment to student development, leadership, and teamwork
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment for participants
Experience in administrative work, supervision, advising, and/or public relations is preferred
