Job Description

  • Work closely with constructors to monitor workload

  • Research industry changes, evolutions and best practices to catch up with the trend

  • Provides cost estimates to management and clients

  • Work with vendors to ensure orders are executed quickly and accurately

  • Schedule pickup-time of completed orders and to ensure a smooth pick-up experience

  • Tracks, coordinates, and schedules product installment dates; coordinates with construction crew and outside vendors on multiple concurrent projects to ensure appropriate progress

  • Draft basic interior design plans and construction documents using Revit (floor plans, schedules, lighting plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations and sections, etc.) and assembles into a cohesive package

  • Provide basic drawings, renderings, and presentations by Revit, Escape, AutoCAD, and Adobe Photoshop

  • Present to clients for feedback and approval as directed

  • Understand building components and how structures/furnishings are constructed to ensure design are maximum versatility

  • Plans spaces for flow, optimal utilization, and overall synergy

  • Modifies or refines designs to conform to project owner’s specifications, production limitations, functionality, cost effectiveness or changes in design trends

  • Creates and maintains information for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) based on company standards via shared reports

  • Travels to job sites to gather field dimensions


Requirements

  • Bilingual (Vietnamese – English)

  • Previous work experience in interior design or other related fields

  • Bachelor degree in Interior Design with minimum of 2 years of experience

  • Familiarity with FF&E selection

  • Understand building codes of the California Building Code (CBC) and ADA standards

  • Ability to use CAD, Adobe Suite, Sketchup or Revit

  • Ability to maintain steady professionalism throughout aggressive deadlines and changing priorities

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Professional communication skills to negotiate with vendors

  • Awesome problem-solving skills and solution-oriented attitude

  • Self-driven, quick learner to effectively coordinate multiple tasks

  • Strong attention to detail and deadline-oriented
